Kansas City Airport (MCI) does not offer a lot of restaurant options but all of the restaurants at the airport do offer a 10% discount with your airline ID. Unfortunately that is also the sale tax charged on all meals so you basically get to eat tax free at the airport with your airline ID badge.

If you have the time, the one restaurant worth checking out is the Port and Pickle in Terminal B. Excellent BBQ, sliders and more. Unfortunately there is no way to order ahead of time and pick up your order to go at Pork and Pickle so you need the time to be able to go upstairs to the restaurant and order your meal. Since it is on the secure side near Gate B41 and up on the second floor, it is easiest if you are flying Southwest to be able to get thru security and minimize your time here. Fortunately when I was flying thru Kansas City recently my flight departed from B42 which share the same security as B41 so I was able to dine and go directly to my gate without having to mess with going thru security again.

Here are the options by Terminal and any comments we have. (at press time they had not decided which terminal Spirit Airlines would serve. It will be Terminal B or C.

Terminal A – NOTHING. Closed down. No airlines operate from this terminal.

Terminal B – This is where you will find the most action and the most options. – Served by AirTran, Delta Air Lines, Southwest Airlines,

Terminal C – Served by Air Canada, American Airlines, Frontier Airlines, United and US Airways.
