Heading from New Delhi is going to make for an exotic vacation or overnight if you’re a member of a working crew. When in New Delhi, shopping is surely on your list.
One of the oldest desires and Delhi is the Chandni Chowk. Here you will find most anything you Brian small confines. At one corner, you’ll find painting materials at the next turn you’ll find Curtis and Saris. Some shops have continued for almost a century, continuously passing down from one generation to another. But if you’re looking for spices then you need to pass the Chandni Chowk and head for the Khari Baoli.
Just a bit west of Chandni Market you’ll find Khari Baoli Road in the heart of Indiana in Asia’s largest wholesale spice market. Here you’ll find hundreds of shops dealing in refined, local and exotic spices. The large market area is rich in color and photographic opportunity’s, and is well worth seeking out and spending some time, expense chili if you’re a foodie. Most all of the spices you can purchase and quantity and bring home. Since spices are best used when fresh, don’t buy a large quantities unless you plan to use them to make some great presence for family and friends.
You can easily spend an hour in the Khari Baoli area, and if you’re a foodie you could have spent a lot more time there, in my ring the spice displays in the shops and the large bags, often stuffed to the brim with Chili, nuts or some on refined spices, all foundries he and lee in this area. A lot of street eats opportunity in these bazaars if you are hungry and up for such an adventure.
Also in this area is worth visiting the Jami Masjid (Mosque) which can be found in this area of Old Delhi. Together, the mosque, the spice market and the Chandni Market can easily take up ¾ day. Then if you add in a visit to the red fort, which is nearby, you’ll have a full day of sightseeing in the Old Delhi area.

If you’re a foodie and one to take the spicy street food of India the Kamla Nagar market is a worth a visit. This market is closed on Mondays.
